Even though I'm feeling significantly better at this point, I'm going to contact some docs here in Wyoming on Friday and see if I can get an appt next week on one of my days off. I skipped my physical last year because I decided I didn't like the doc in East Lansing I had seen the previous year. She ended up costing me $400+ out-of-pocket for a biopsy of a "suspicious" mole on my leg - a mole that has been there all my life and never changed.

It sounds like what you might need are bronchiodialators - something that will relax your tubes, ease the swelling and whatnot. At the least, maybe a corticosteroid to help with the inflammation and itching? Sounds like your doctors aren't really being very good to you - perhaps time to find a new one. Antibiotics? Good grief.

It really feels good to make headway on that stuff, doesn't it? I love hauling a carload to Goodwill. :) Very cool you're cooking, as well! It takes time and effort, but I think ultimately it's a good thing. There are plenty of nights when I come home tired and not wanting to spend an hour in the kitchen, but we can usually find something quicker (homemade mac and cheese, soup, whatever) that's lower-effort. So much healthier and cheaper, too.

GO YOU!!

I hear you, totally. When I moved to Washington, I took with me 6000lbs of stuff. When I came back, I had under 4000lbs, thankfully, but it's still Too Much. The process of grooming the excess BS is really liberating,t hough, once you get into the swing of it.

Giving to Goodwill is my preferred method - they'll take nearly anything and get it to someone else for great justice. I hate putting stuff into the landfill. For some items, I do Freecycle, but the people on that list can be so demanding and rude. Still for non-empty toiletry items, and other weird stuff that's still useful but that Goodwill won't take, it gets it out of the house and used.

If you start small, say with the stuff you literally haven't seen in years, it might be easier to get in the groove. I try to be realistic - "Am I *really* going to ever be this skinny again?" or "Will I seriously ever use this again? In the unlikely event I ever do need it, how much would it cost to replace it?" "Is there someone else who would use/need this more than I do?"

Once you start ridding yourself of the stuff/clutter, it really does feel good. I still have a long, long way to go, but I'm getting there. :)
