I get emailed every time I get a pingback or someone not registered posts a comment here. I got one on the 3rd from a blog that apparently only spiders other sites/blogs for the word ‘matchmaking’ and then posts the snippet containing that word in its own blog and links to it with ‘unknown’ or a fake name. What a crock. Just to put google ads all over their site with no real content. Fuckers. The site is ‘match making place dot info’ if you wanna look.

I have my own VPS (virtual private server) at work now. Maybe someday I will be good enough at this crap to set up my own colo box.
Now I just gotta get my other 2 sites moved and things will be rollin..

Sometimes there is a conflict in the version of perl installed, ie:
/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8
vs
/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.8
The system thinks one is being used, but is updating the other.. solution? after 2 hours it came to me.. /scripts/fixperl. Which basically just moves one out of the way and simlinks it to the other one. GAH.
